COVID-19 Impacts the GBPA and the Daniel Lady Farm

The COVID 19 pandemic has clearly affected all of us – some even with sickness and grievous loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those suffering and all the healthcare and other essential workers in harm’s way. At GBPA.org, the losses have only been financial, but still seriously threaten our mission. Events and tours have had to be canceled, and Scout camping is suspended. Future events may be scaled down to meet health guidelines. We hope to reopen as safety and health guidelines allow. Keep watching facebook and GBPA.org for updates.

COVID 19 has already left a large hole in our operating budget and shortfalls will likely continue even as the economy slowly recovers and restrictions are lifted. While events, tours and camping have always been an important part of our educational mission, they also provided needed revenue for farm preservation and program operations.
